Not having someone to cover a scheduled shift would only happen in the case of a true disaster or a series of situations all at once. We have backup and PRN staff as backups and believe it or not. The owners pick up shifts if needed-- We understand the importance of reliability.
The overtime is charged on each specific staff member's hours not total work hours with your family. If you want a particular caregiver more than 40 hrs. there would be an overtime charge.
We work together with the client and family to put together a care team that they feel comfortable with. We strive to keep that care team in place to provide consistency in care. We always train back up staff with each client as well. In the event your regular caregiver cannot make their scheduled assignment we will have staff available that is familiar with the client and their needs. This helps with consistency of care and eliminates that first day feeling of someone you don't know providing care.
We are constantly updating along with the CDC. We however ask that our staff wear their masks when working directly with their clients. Our staff is trained to wear appropriate PPE for all in home care services
No, we do not supply gloves, briefs and supplies such as those. Those are supplies provided through Home Health or Hospice. We try to make sure our staff always has a backup box of gloves in the event someone runs low. In the event of an emergency, we can supply a box of gloves, but it will be an additional charge of 15.00 per box on your invoice.
Absolutely, many of our staff love animals. There is no extra charge for pet care, Pet care can be an important part of providing in home care services. However, we do not take care of aggressive pets.
